Orange County Imperial Highway Crash Kills One and Injures Three
Three people got injured and one person killed in a Sunday morning crash. The collision happened near 2:40 a.m. on Imperial Highway in Brea. Further, the highway’s known as State Route 90 to local residents.
A police officer did come across the crash. In fact, the officer found the crash prior to a call to report it. Brea Police Lt. Peter Rodriguez said the crash happened near an intersection. In this case the intersection of Kraemer Boulevard.
The officer at the scene did find several people outside of the two cars. The officer didn’t know if they got ejected or got out. They could have got out of the cars and passed out from the impact of the collision.
Officials said one woman was pronounced dead at the scene. Further, in fact, three other people got injured. In this case, the injured got transported to the hospital. Further, the condition of the injured remains unknown at this time. In fact, they got transported to UC Irvine Medical Center.
Authorities said the cause of the crash remains under investigation. But, investigators believe one driver may have run a red light.
Further, in this case, officers closed Imperial Highway. In this case in the area of the crash until further notice.
Motorcyclist Killed Saturday in Malibu
Saturday afternoon a motorcyclist got killed in Malibu. The rider’s passenger suffered major injuries too. In this case, the bike collided with a Volkswagen Jetta. The collision did happen on Pacific Coast Highway in Malibu at 3:35 pm.
The crash, in fact, happened at Leo Carrillo Beach Road L.A. County Fire Department spokesman said. Dispatch supervisor Bernard Peters said the Jetta tried to make a U-turn. The car, in fact, drove in front of the eastbound motorcycle.
At the time of the crash in this case the bike traveled downhill and in a curve. The bike headed toward the Mulholland Highway intersection.
The impact, as a matter of fact, caused both riders ejection from the bike. The man operating the bike got pronounced dead at the scene. His female passenger suffered major injuries too. The woman got taken by helicopter to UCLA Medical Center.
Sunday Morning Collision Results in Major Injuries
In this case a morning Rancho Cucamonga crash happened at 5:30 am. The collision happened on SR60 eastbound and Grove Avenue. The collision caused one car to come to a stop on the right shoulder. The other car did stop in the HOV lane and catch fire.
The initial report to police, in fact, included both cars on fire. The car on fire in the HOV lane identified as a black Honda sedan. In this case, the fire appeared under the bumper. The other vehicle involved in this case identified as a pickup truck.
Witnesses said they saw the car veering across lanes and saw sparks. The crash caused the truck to spin and come to a stop off the road.
Police said the collision involved major injuries. Though, it’s unclear who got hurt or the extent of the injuries.
