Tiger Woods Injured in Crash

November 27, 2009 (by Horatio Algren) According to reports Tiger Woods was injured in a vehicle accident in Orlando Florida early today.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, golfer Tiger Woods was injured in a vehicle crash near his gated waterfront community home in Orlando. The accident occurred at approximately 2:25 a.m. when Woods vehicle struck a fire hydrant and then a tree.

The 33 year old Woods was seriously injured in the crash and was transported to an area hospital as reported by the Florida Highway Patrol.

Glenn Greenspan spokesman for Woods stated that Woods was treated at the hospital and released in good condition. Greenspan, stated that the vehicle accident was minor.

Spokesperson, Kim Montes for the Florida Highway Patrol stated the accident remains under investigation and alcohol was not a factor in the crash. Montes also stated that at the time of the crash Woods was alone in the vehicle.

Resident Elin Nordegren told officers that she was in her home when she heard the crash and came outside. She spotted Tiger Woods laying in the street and his wife standing over him, according to Windermere Police Chief Daniel Saylor.

The chief also stated that officers arriving on the scene of the crash found Woods lying on the street and his wife present and he had lacerations to the face.
