Anaheim Bicyclist Still in Critical Condition After Hit and Run

November 5, 2009 (by Horatio Algren) According to reports by an Anaheim bicycle lawyer, a bicyclist that was struck by a hit and run driver in Anaheim remains in critical condition.

The bicycle rider identified as a 54 year old man was struck by a hit and run driver at approximately 5:30 p.m. on Monday according to Anaheim Police Sgt. Rick Martinez.

Authorities are still searching for the driver of a dark colored SUV that was involved in the accident that occurred when the bicycle rider was riding around a parked vehicle on Anaheim Street.

According to Sgt. Martinez the SUV was traveling westbound on Anaheim Street when the driver hit the bicyclist and kept driving without stopping at the scene of the bicycle accident.

Sgt Martinez stated that paramedics treated the rider at the scene of the accident for head and internal injuries and he was then transported to an area hospital.
