Over One Million Little Tikes Toy Workshops Recalled

August 14, 2009 (by Horatio Algren) According to reports by Los Angeles personal injury attorneys, there has been a recall on 1.6 millon toy workshops and trucks.

The recall comes after a toddler reportedly choked on a plastic nail and is a voluntary recall by the company according to the Consumer Product Safety Commission. The recall involves five toys that were sold from March 1994 through 2009.

The toys being recalled are the Electronic Project Workshop, the Little Handiworker Workhorse, the Swirlin’ Sawdust Workshop, the Home Improvements Two Sided Workshop, and the Black Pickup with Tools.

Each of the recalled Little Tikes toys come equipped with red or blue plastic nails that are believed to be a choking hazard for toddlers and young children. The child that reportedly choked was hospitalized and has recovered, according to Consumer Safety Commission spokesman Scott Wolfson.

The nails included in the Little Tikes toys are in either blue or red and measure approximately 1 inch by 3 inches.
