Semi Truck Accident Closes California 57 Freeway
A Fullerton 57 Freeway accident killed at least one person and shut down the California 57 today in both directions of vehicle travel this evening, after a serious big rig semi-truck accident against a light passenger vehicle, according to California car accident attorneys and the CHP.
The big rig truck crash happened at around 19:00 hours Pacific Time near the Chapman Avenue exit close to Cal State University Fullerton.
Authorities believe the death was to the truck operator/driver. Although he was killed, four others also suffered personal injuries, and have been taken to nearby hospitals. This story is corroborated by the City of Fullerton’s Fire Chief, Chief Gary Dominguez.
Fire Chief Dominguez declared that the big rig truck was loaded with frozen meats. Apparently the 18 wheeler jackknifed and flipped over after striking the freeway guard safety rail. The fire chief also stated that it wasn’t sure if the big rig flipped over before or after the collision with the light passenger automobile.
