Actor From Star Trek Injured in Multi Vehicle Crash

July 15, 2009 (by Horatio Algren) According to reports by Ehline Law, Injury Lawyer, PC, one of the cast members of Star Trek: The Next Generation was injured in a multi vehicle crash.

The actor Levar Burton was involved in the accident while driving a 2006 Mercedes in the vicinity of Beverly Boulevard in West Los Angeles.

According to Los Angeles Police Detective Judy Acosta of the Los Angeles, Burton’s Mercedes was struck by a 2006 Scion that was driven by a 74 year old woman.

When the Scion made a left turn in front of Burton the vehicles collided, this caused Burton’s Mercedes to be thrown into a parked vehicle and then into two other vehicles.

According to Detective Acosta after the collision, both drivers were transported to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. Burton and the other driver were both treated and released, since neither suffered serious injuries.

Besides appearing in Star Trek: The Next Generation, he was also the host of the Reading Rainbow and in the television miniseries Roots.
