Los Angeles Officers Vehicle Hit And Driver Leaves The Scene

According to reports by hit and run accident attorneys in Los Angeles, Saturday night while a Los Angeles Police Officer was stopped with a vehicle he had pulled over a second vehicle crashed into the police car and left the scene.

According to Sgt. J. Lewis of the Los Angeles Police Department after the police officer had pulled a motorists over for a traffic violation when a speeding vehicle collided with the police car and fled the scene.

As a result of the collision the police car was pushed into the vehicle the officer had pulled over for a traffic violation according to Lt. Paul von Lutzlow of the Los Angeles Police Department. The officer was thrown from the vehicle at the time the car was struck and was treated for minor injuries at a local hospital.

There was an extensive search for the vehicle and a police dog found the man allegedly driving hiding behind a tree several blocks from the scene of the accident. He was arrested and charged with suspicion of felony hit and run, but according to Sgt. Lewis he was not charged with driving under the influence.

There were no other injuries during the collision except for the officer that was transported to the hospital for treatment of minor injuries
