Freestyle Motocross Racer Killed During Backflip

According to reports by Motorcycle injury lawyers in California, American freestyle racer Jeremy Lusk, resident of Temecula California died from head injuries after a motocross accident while doing a backflip.
According to the chief of the intensive care unit at Calderon Hospital Jorge Ramirez, Lusk was placed in a medical induced coma after he suffered severe brain injuries and what might have been spinal cord injuries.
The injuries stemmed from a Saturday crash during a competition while landing as he completed a Hart Attack backflip, slamming head first into the ground.
During the 2007 X freestyle semi-finals Lusk had a similar accident while doing the same backflip. During 2008 he had a wining season in freestyle motocross, winning a gold metal at the 2008 X Gamesand also winning silver in best trick with the Hart Attack double-grab backflip. Lusk also won a bronze helmet at the Moto X World Championships in the freestyle event held in San Diego, his hometown.
Lusk passed away on Tuesday from the injuries sustain in the accident with his parents and his wife at his side.
