Stone Temple Pilots Frontman Serves Fourteen Minutes

According to reports during sentencing last month for misdemeanor driving under the influence charges that occurred in November, Scott Weiland was given 192 hours to serve in jail and was given until May 28th to complete the sentence. Also, as a part of his sentence he was ordered to attend an 18-month alcohol program along with fines that total nearly $2,000. He was also placed on a four-year summary probation.

This week Weiland reported to the Van Nuys lockup to begin his sentence that was ordered to be completed by May 28th and by 7:00 p.m. he was free. He had served ten hours and an actual fourteen minutes in a cell.

The November 21st arrest stemmed from an accident in which no one was injured on one of Los Angeles highways. When the police arrived at the scene according to their reports Weiland showed signs of being intoxicated.
