Three DUI Arrests At Costa Mesa Checkpoint

According to Orange County car accident lawyers, there are reports in a weekend checkpoint that was announced earlier and would be held in Costa Mesa had favorable results and is a part of the California Office of Traffic Safety national enforcement campaign.
The sobriety checkpoint was held at Newport Boulevard and Flower Street and netted thirteen citations as well as ten vehicles that were impounded. During the checkpoint there were three drivers that were arrested for driving under the influence and there were also three drivers cited for driving with suspended licenses and two drivers cited for driving without a license. There was also one person that was arrested for an existing warrant.
Police at the checkpoint cleared through 2,050 vehicles and they also screened 410 drivers.
There is another of these checkpoints that will be conducted on June 6th and this one the police are partnering with Mother’s Against Drunk Driving. This and other checkpoints have been made possible with a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety. The June 6th checkpoint will be held at Wilson Street and Pomona Avenue.
