Vehicle Hits Metro Gold Line Train

Sunday at approximately 8:45 pm it has been reported that a vehicle struck a Metro Gold Line train at an intersection near the station, where the driver walked away with few injuries.
The accident occurred in Highland Park close to the Gold Line Highland Park Station at Marmion Way and Avenue 57 and while usually this type of accident turns out badly their was no one seriously injured in this metro train and vehicle accident. According to reports a police spokesman Officer Mike Lopez stated that the driver of the vehicle involved in the accident had suffered minor injuries such as scrapes and bruises that were treated at the scene of the accident by emergency medical personnel. He went on to state that there were no passengers injured on the Metro Gold Line train during the accident.
There was no report of the type of vehicle was involved nor the amount of damage to the vehicle there was also no other report of any other passengers in the vehicle.
