Hit & Run Accident News

Tuesday morning was the scene of a head on accident when a vehicle ran a red light at approximately 12:30 am on Carrillo Street according to reports where an officer began to follow the vehicle involved.
It has been reported that after the vehicle ran the light and hit head on into another vehicle the driver and passengers left the scene on foot. As they fled the scene of the accident an officer who had been following the vehicle since it ran the red light pursued them.
All of the occupants of the vehicle that had run the red light were caught by police with the exception of one. The driver was a 16 year old from Santa Barbara boy, he was arrested for DUI, felony hit and run and driving without a license. The occupants of the vehicle the unlicensed driver hit had minor injuries according to reports. It is unknown if or to what hospital the injured victims of the hit vehicle were taken.
