Crazy Passenger on a Metro Bus
February 4, 2008 (by Otto Smyth)
A Santa Cruz Metro bus on Sunday was the scene of an arrest after a passenger on Highway 1.
According to reports a passenger on the bus became adamant that he needed to depart the bus immediately after he apparently saw his girlfriends car involved in what is now said to be a DUI accident. These facts are according to reports that Santa Cruz County Sheriff’s deputy Rob Linblad had stated.
The auto accident occurred near Mar Monte Avenue and when the bus driver refused to stop until the next exit, the passenger whose name has not been released grabbed the steering wheel, steering the bus into a hill. After which he got off the bus apparently to go to the scene of the auto accident. He was arrested by the police as he was running down the highway, he was charged with battery and interference of the operation of public transportation.
It was reported that the driver of the bus stated if the bus had been in another part of its route this could have been a disastrous accident.
There has been no report of passengers injured or the rate of speed that the bus was traveling at the time the incident occurred. If you were injured in a metro bus accident call experienced Los Angeles metro bus accident attorneys now!
