Big Rig Hauling Strawberry Puree Involved in Rollover Crash
January 31, 2012 – According to reports a truck hauling strawberry puree was involved in a rollover crash in Roseville. According to authorities the big rig rollover crash occurred at approximately midnight while traveling on the northbound ramp from I-80 to Highway 65 in Roseville.
Police said the big rig was traveling to fast causing it to rollover on the embankment. The driver of the big rig was unhurt in the crash, according to authorities and the truck dumped out 43,000 pounds of strawberry puree onto the roadway. The strawberry puree was in white plastic containers that were frozen and remained frozen for most of the morning.
Clean up crews arrived on the scene of the big rig rollover crash at approximately 8:00 a.m. by which time the frozen puree had melted. The scene of the crash was cleaned up by approximately 10:00 a.m.
